Gentarget provides the negative control lentiviruses for all expression lentivectors. Each negative control virus contains a Null spacer sequence at the target position. The Null sequence allows package the lentivirus, but it cannot be translated into a protein (Lack of the Start codon).

Each control virus serves as the negative control of lentivurs treatment for the same lentivector backbone. It validates the specificity of any target expression effects at the testing cells.
