Pre-made lentiviral particles expressing sequence verified CRE recombinase under an enhanced EF1a promoter which is a strong promoter independent of tissue or cell types, and less likely to be silenced in long-term culture conditions. CRE contains a NLS (nuclear localization signal) at its N-term. This nuclear permeant CRE increases the recombination events in vivo. A blasticidin marker under RSV promoter, allows to select transduced cells for long term expression via blasticidin antibiotic.
Cre protein, from bacteriophage P1, catalyzes recombination between 34 base pair target sequences, named lox sites. CRE lentiviral particles can catalyze the jointing event In Vivo in the presence of lox sites. Purified CRE enzyme can joint individual plasmids containing lox sites.
This product constitutively expresses nuclear localized CRE enzyme in all cell types. This lentivirus was purified into PBS solution which is used for non-serum cell culture and hard-to-transduced cell types, or direcly used for in vivo application.
