HBcAg-6His Expression Lentivirus

$650.00

SKU: LVP1401-PBS Category:

Description

Lentivirus expresses the HBcAg (core antigen) of Hepatitis B virus.  It has the human codon optimization for high expression in mammalian cells, expressing the full length of HBcAg antigen (NCBI ID: AAF24690.1, click to see its Amino Acid sequence), with a poly-histidine tag at the C-terminus (6-His tag) which allow the purification of the antigen via Ni NTA affinity column.

The target was expressed under enhanced CMV promoter. A RFP-Blasticidin fusion dual selection marker under RSV promoter, allows to sort or select transduced cells via RFP fluorescent signal or via Blasticidin antibiotic. RFP signal provides a convenient, realtime monitoring the lentivirus performance.  See Product Manual for details (.pdf).

About HBcAg:  HBcAg is an antigen found on the inner most layer of the hepatitis B virus (see HBV scheme below). Both HBcAg and HBeAg are made from the same open reading frame, HBcAg does not circulate in the blood but readily detected in hepatocytes. The presence of both HBcAg and HBeAg proteins together act as a marker of viral replication, meaning the person is infamous.
