HBeAg-6His Expression Lentivirus

$650.00

SKU: LVP1403-PBS Category:

Description

Lentivirus expresses the HBeAg (Surface antigen) of Hepatitis B virus.  It has the human codon optimization for high expression in mammalian cells, expressing the full length of HBeAg antigen (NCBI ID: AAA02842, click to see its Amino Acid sequence), with a poly-histidine tag at the C-terminus (6-His tag) which allow the purification of the antigen via Ni NTA affinity column.

The target was expressed under enhanced CMV promoter. A RFP-Blasticidin fusion dual selection marker under RSV promoter, allows to sort or select transduced cells via RFP fluorescent signal or via Blasticidin antibiotic. RFP signal provides a convenient, realtime monitoring the lentivirus performance.  See Product Manual for details (.pdf).

About HBeAg:  HBeAg is an antigen found between the nucleocapsid core and the lipid envelope (see HBV scheme below). HBeAg is secreted and accumulates in serum.  Both HBeAg and HBcAg are made from the same reading frame. The presence of both antigens acts as a marker of viral replication. HBeAg in the serum of patients can serve as a marker of active replication in chronic hepatitis.
