Description

The Human MCF10A cell line was derived from 36-year-old Caucasian female, human breast mammary gland epithelial cells. It is a normal breast cells (non-tumorigenic cells), and most commonly used as normal breast cell model, expressing breast specific antigens. Its media requires Hydrocortisone, horse serum, insulin, epidermal growth factor, cholera toxin and cultured in serum free medium with low Ca++ concentration. The line is responsive to insulin, glucocorticoids, cholera endotoxin, and epidermal growth factor (EGF).

Gentarget generated this Luciferase reporter cells,  transformed from human MCF10A cell line  with by lentivirus transduction. This cell line express the firefly luciferase 3 gene under the enhanced EF1a promoter. The Puromycin marker was expressed under Rsv promoter. The cell line demonstrates high level of bioluminescence signal via firefly luciferase assay. The following express cassette was integrated into cell line’s genome.
