Human Bone Osteosarcoma Epithelial Cells (U2OS) is an established human epithelial cell line isolated back in the 1960s from a 15-year-old female suffering from bone cancer or osteosarcoma. U2OS cells exhibit epithelial adherent morphology. Cells are positive for IGF-I) and IGF II receptors and express a number of antigens, including blood type A, Rh+, HLA A2, Aw30, B12, Bw35, and B40(+/-).
The U2OS cell line is extensively used as a circadian rhythm model, including in high-throughput screening studies.
This GFP / human U2OS cell line expresses the enhanced GFP fluorescent marker. GFP was expressed under the constitutive EF1a Promoter. Cell line carries the Puromycin resistance.
The following expression cassette was integrated into the cell line’s genome.
