Lentivirus express a fusion target of (RFP–Tubulin ). The human alpha-Tubulin (NCBI accession ID: NM_006000) was fusioned, at its N-terminal, with RFP (Red Fluorescent Protein) marker, expressed under the enhanced suCMV promoter, containing a Puromycin antibiotic marker under the RSV promoter.
Microtubules are dynamic cytoskeletal filaments composed of α- and β-tubulins. Microtubules function in many essential cellular processes.
The fluorescent tagged tubulin can be used to image microtubule dynamics, providing the insight to our understanding of microtubule-binding agents.
