Human HCT116 / Luciferase & GFP Stable Cells

$3,500.00

human HCT116 cell line co-express Luciferase and GFP dual report, containing puromycin selection.

Description

Human HCT116 cell line was derived from human colorectal carcinoma (Adult male). It has a mutation in codon 13 of the ras proto-oncogene. The cells are adherent with an epithelial morphology. HCT 116 cells are positive for transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF beta 1) and beta 2 (TGF beta 2) expression.

HCT116 cell line was used in tumorigenicity studies in vitro and in vivo. It forms primary tumor after implantation into nude mice, which makes it a great tool for studying the mechanisms of tumor growth and metastasis.

This Luciferase & GFP / human HCT116 cell line was transformed via Lentivirus transduction. It has the Luciferase and GFP was constitutively co-expressed under EF1a promoter, as two separate proteins (not as fusion), mediated via 2A element. The Puromycin resistance marker was expressed under Rsv promoter. The following express cassette was integrated into cell-line’s genome.

GFP and Luciferase co-expression under EF1a promoter

Each cell demonstrates a strong GFP fluorescent signal (see sample image below). Its chem-luminescence signal was verified via luciferase assay using the D-luciferin substrate. And its signal can be detected, in vitro and in vivo.
